Josh Herr is the proud son of a retired Air Force Major and although he grew up in several places, he considers Alaska his true home. He spends his summers camping and fishing, and spends the winters planning his next family vacation someplace warm.

At 20 years old Josh began his banking career as a teller at a local credit union. Over the next few years, Josh diligently studied the industry, educated himself, and ultimately became a Senior Loan Officer in their Indirect Lending Center, where, for over a decade he served the community, helping people to make wise financial decisions.

In 2020 Josh decided to apply his lending skills in a new direction and joined First Rate Financial as a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator. His strong background in underwriting, debt management, and customer service has made his transition to the mortgage world seamless.
